Default MCD conversion question!

Hi i might be able to get hold or an MCD monster truck and wondered are they like FGs built around the same chassis as the rest of the models?
The reason i ask is that i have an FG Monster truck and was thinking about getting the MCD baja 1000, but because i can get the MT slightly cheaper i wondered if i wanted i`m not saying i will, but could i convert
to the race runner or baja, or are the parts completely different.
Thanks
Guy

There would be some parts you would need to change over.
Also you would need to know which model it was before you could order anything.
I am contemplating doing the opposite, going from a Baja to a MT, want the best of both worlds.
Unfortunately the Evo 3 Baja axle shafts are short and do not fit through the MT rims.

It can definitely be done however.

I Bought a Baja 1000 and then I purchased everything I needed to convert it to MT here are the pix.

Here is it after the conversion to MT. Gear ratio change, side plates, tires+rims, body mounts are also different and a servo mounting plate spacer.

The meat and bones of the RR/MT and Baja 1000 are all the same, the bodies mount a little different, and some of the outer shealds are different, the conversion to Baja won't cost you very much.
