MCD Jetpro Sidemount pipe
Hi all, I recently purchased a jetpro side mount exhaust for my MCD Baja 1000. A lot of sites (DDM included) list these pipes as fitting all off road MCD vehicles. They don't. []
My Baja 1000 is the first edition type with the flat disk wheels and the roll bar is different to the later EVO models, it is wider and therefore the exhaust fouls and won't fit.
looks like i'm going to have to get an EVO type roll bar to get it to fit, which is another £30 []

You can probably make the later style (Evo) centre roll bar yourself.
I recall seeing lengths of the alloy pipe at Homebase (or B&Q) for a few GB pounds - they also had a cheap pipe bender.

There are plastic posts/inserts that are bolted to the chassis and the roll bar is held in place on the posts with one tiny screw on each end.

Cheers Clive, i actually bought some alu pipe and a bender and made my own. I cut the unused roll bar mounts from the front of my car and used these to mount the new one. It fits a treat.

Great work - out of interest where did you get the pipe from?
