16T is the one that comes stock on the monster truck. 18T comes stock on the stadium truck. I just checked my spare one its 18T.

You can use the 18T pinion but it will have to be with a 46T spur, or a 16T pinion with a 48T spur...

No can do,you must change the spur too.16/48=ok,18/46=ok,16/46=total standstill(or in worst case, stripping one of the gears)

i think you misunderstand. my truck comes stock with 16/48. all i need is another 16t pinion because mine is stripped. i'm not spending $75 for a new spur and pinion when all i need is a pinion. i think i'm just going to order one from largescalerc.
