MCD Cheetah, the latest from MCD Racing
The latest from MCD Racing
The MCD Cheetah:
This is not the new Baja1000 V4, this one will come later.
How do you like this unusual body?
Looks a bit like the combination of a RaceRunner with a Baja1000 in the new V4 "stealth look"
Greetings

Looks fast just sitting still. Looks very stealth like. I'm trying to get used to the look, it's a different, but a different in a good way.

I don't like the body either. Looks like a truck and a buggy got drunk, made some bad decisions, and nine months later this came along. I'm sure the rest of the car is probably awesome, but that body is just not for me.

You know even though it doesn't jump out AWESOME! to me I do like the idea that its different.
The Nutech MT bodies have to be the ugliest monster truck body yet. So was MCD just going to make another MT body like the ones that are already out??? NO!! This is a new design truck body sorta like what a 1/8th buggy body was years ago.
Also the prices of these V4's are not as expensive as some of your guys think. Not much different then that of a 5T and these are 4x4.

MCD already has one of the best MT bodies already...there are a lot of copies of that body but the durability of the MCD body far exceeds any of the others available right now. In fact, I am look into setting up my own vacuum form press to make my own bodies cause these vendors are using inferior material for their rigs lately...

Is it just me, or does that look like a 1/8 buggy on the horse gear?
body is kinda strange....but all it's really doing like any other body is covering the good stuff from damage, right?

But I can't really talk about the strength of a mcd body yet as my 1000 is still on my bench waiting for it's first run.

It looks nicer than a desert rat body and the black one side view reminds me of the old batmobile for some reason. It looks odd though because it is so out of proportion. The Nutech Monster Truck body is actually decent its just it's design looks crappy in pictures and the color schemes prepainted are terrible. Once I painted my truck black and silver and saw it up close. It actually did not look that bad. But it looks like a cheap chinese tonka toy knock off in the pictures.

RE: MCD Cheetah, the latest from MCD Racing
it's definitely different[&:] but a change from boring buggy bodies that i can't stand...i'd take this over the buggy body .
V4's are $1299 with 26 and no electrics so price is pretty good and better than FG 4x4.. but not many out there yet for feedback regards driveline durability and the few people online who own one are so far up MCD's bottom that they'd never tell anyhow if things are not what they should be

RE: MCD Cheetah, the latest from MCD Racing
I am just about to purchase an MCD, and as I am not "up the *****" of MCD, then if I have any drama's with it I will sing out.
I have had my FG for about 5 or 6 years, and have unfortunately had nothing but issues with it, hence the move to MCD..
Any how I quite like the look of the new body. I remember when the FG Baja came out, and thought 'hmmmpf', but it has grown on me and looks quite good now that I see them on ere and other areas more often.

So true! But I will say this, the only thing keeping me from owning an MCD is money. More specifically, the lack thereof
I have always wanted to try one and see if they lived up to the hype. Maybe one of these years I will have enough put back.

Haha I just chose to ignore that comment. It seems a little sour to me. Some people always want to bash on anything that they don't own.
