RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Wow, what a truly beautiful machine.
I love the fact that it has to be assembled as well. I always tear down all my prebuilts before I ever start them anyway. |
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Looks gorgeous
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Very cool indeed.

RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Hm, my easter bonus usually goes to Holland, but this time, it's going to Elcon!! That will be some garage... an FG Monster, an HPI Baja and an ELCON Cleon. I'll have to start racing!
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Beautiful machine, it appears that it is all race car, no bashing allowed sort of deal though, but then, we need serious race cars as well.
So, I'm afraid to ask, but....how much? |
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
List price € 1898 in Europe
http://www.rc-car-online.de/cleon_eng.php Comes without Engine and Electronics. I like their Track Record. Last 4 races they participated in had a Cleon prototype on 1'st place. :D AND: an additional Cleon also on the Podium. |
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Superb [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...

|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...

|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
$3000 Au for aussies, very cheap for an all alloy race machine.
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
$2800 US, + engine and electronics, you would not skimp on a car like that so another $1000, shipping, tax, looking at $4000, thats a little steep for me, but again, I am not racing. It is an absolutely beautiful buggy, and I am sure it is all top notch. Elcon definitely has the skills, they weren't too creative on the name though were they :D...Cleon...Elcon.....just rearranged the company name.....I'm just messin :)

RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
I think the price is great, i have a alloy fg beetle and monster truck and it cost alot more than that to upgrade. Actually i have way to much in my hpi baja with upgrades to. I bet with the baja if you were to upgrade to all alloy you would also be way over the top in price to. I will be purchasing one of these this summer for sure. I would like to stick some monster tires on it and go rippin.

RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
I love the heli cut gears and such, does anyone know if the diff is self locking or not.
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Is the manual in dutch also, or is it also in english.?????
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Also, does it include the shock oil, where is the receiver box, what pipe do they recommend that fits this car. Sorry for so many questions but i need to know before ordering.
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Ron over at krikke, just emailed me and yes it does include a pipe, it is a viscous diff, has the shock oil in kit, receiver mount. He said everthing but the motor and electronics. Does anyone have pics of one of these complete.
Thanks. Oh and the manual is in english as well. |
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
I just found out from his as well it does also include the elcon clutch. For the money it includes all the high performance items stock. WOW. Just need motor and electronics.

|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
Excellent! This Elcon buggy is the sweetest 1/5 scaler out right now IMHO.
|
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
I am thinking of getting one but I want to convert it to onroad buggy with slick tires and lowered body for at least couple of months to enjoy the shines and the blings :D:D before bashing it :(
Which slick/onroad tires and rims would be nice for it? |
RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
You could glue the SLD 2WD tyre.
That is an on-road tyre for offroad rims. http://www.sldracing.com/e107_images/sld/2wd_1-5.jpg There is also this one. I am not sure if that would fit. Just shoot Georges a mail at SLD he will know if it would fit the off-road rims. I think it does but I am not sure. SLD has loads of different tyres that fit the off-road rims of FG, Lauterbacher, Contrast, Elcon etc etc. http://www.sldracing.com/e107_images...e/sld_p3_1.jpg |
