Default Skipmillermodels.com WARNING!

Be careful doing business with this company. I ordered a couple of things from them, never got an email verification, P.O. or receipt. Though, they had no problem immediately charging my CC.

They gave me the run around in email and on the phone over a three (3) week period. On the phone, it sounded like a one-man operation. They stopped returning my calls and emails when I requested a refund. I finally had to file a claim with Paypal to get a refund. A huge waste of my time.

shady company...

Strange I had heard good things about them. I know they have been out lately on competitive circuit lately and that may have impacted their small operations

I have heard mostly good things about Skip Miller Models too, but if that is what happened I am not surprised you are upset.

They say: There is a bad press and a good press. WRONG!
There is no bad press - all press is good for a company. The more you mention them on forums and social media - the more business they'll gain!
There are as many opinions as there are people. If you wanna hurt them - do it privately over PM. Hurt them with credit card chargebacks, but do not start discussions on the open.

Look at AT&T - did they lose business over the bad press? Nope, they actually gained business.

I actually gained tons of business over being wrongfully accused in 2003. My business went into space once my competitors started accusing me on every forum they can find. I have never expected becoming so popular over a period of three months. I grabbed all their business and one of them went bankrupt.
Think before you post.
cheers
Mark

Similar situation here for a motor and speed control. However, they did call (once) to tell me that the website information was incorrect and that they would have the motor in a week. Two weeks passed and nothing. I called to see what was up and was told another week for the motor. I asked about the ESC. He did not have any information but would call back (right). I initiated a refund through Paypal and they were very prompt to take care of the refund.

They're probably not a bad company but do I have to spend several thousand dollars to get attention? My first impression of SMM is not a good one regarding customer relations.
