Im a newb but have done lots of research and studying. I understand about Tx settings (ie PC,TC,DR, EXP etc) and understand the hecicopter parts and functions. One thing I have not been able to find is about how universal or interchangable the diffrent Tx"s are with the diffrent brant Heli or brand recievers. Specifically i bought a Matrix 250R RTF and a MXR-8 TX(2.4GHz DSSS). The reciver is a MXR-RX2618v (all by blitz rc works). By doing no researchand buyinginto the RTF claim and crashed within seconds stripping the main gear and breaking servos(and probably others). With allittle research I then came up with the decision to purchase the Art Tech Shark 450 v2. Its a RTF that comes with TX but not near as cool as the MXR-8.The only specs it gives for the Tx and reciever are a CCPM multifunctional 2.4GHz Tx and reciever. Now for my actual question FINALLY. Am i going to be able to use the MXR-8 with the Art Tech shark 450 v2 by just binding the two, or am I going to need to purchase another MXR-RX2618v reciever and replace it in the Shark? If I do that will the servos, gyro, esc.....etc going to have to be brand specific as well? Long question for simple answers. Thanks anyone for your help!!

i believe the only tx rx that would be close to compatible is if you had a jr tx i think the newer tx's are set up to bind to the spectrums but you would have to buy a decoder and install it in the tx of a spectrum to use it with a jr rx. im going to say no your radios and receivers are incompatible unless the use the same tx so yes you probably will have to get another rx and install it . easiest way to find out is select another model # in tx that is blank and try to bind it.
