Default newbe helicopter owner.

I just bought a older 60 size xcel heli.
What books are available for setting this up? I want to take it back to the beginners settings.
What tools will I need?

Thanks in advance.

I had one of those and you set it up just like any other fly bar helicopter. Miniature Aircraft was the manufacture and if you post on RunRyder or HelioFreaks someone may have an instruction manual.

Thank you flycatch. I really appreciate it. What would be a good book or books to help set this thing to a trainer settings?

Back in 1988, I learned using this book:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Basics-Rad.../dp/0911295364

Rather than bury your head in a book, I'd would like to send you to the local club and get real face-to-face help. These things have been compared to flying lawn mowers or flying guillotines (need I say more?).

You can find a local club here:
http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx

Or you can find local helicopter pilots here:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/maps.php?m
http://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t479223p1/

Hope that steers you in the right direction.

Rafael

Clubs are fine if you actually come across one that helps. I learned from a book and this fellow can too.

Thanks guys, Book is ordered along with another. I don't fly with a club. local is 40 miles away and members are way to clicky for me. Although, I would like to have the help of someone who knows, But, I've been flying as a lone wolf for many many years. One of my local farmers that has his own landing strip and has told me to use it.
I own 5 acres and will be attempting flight on it with the helli.

I appreciate very much your inputs, Thank you again.
