A good simulator would be the best investment you can make in this hobby.

From your post I assume you're primarily interested in micro heli's. Just keep in mind the micro's are much harder to fly than a 30 size nitro heli. If at all possible, seek out the advice of local pilots. A simulator will be a must if you don't.

A similator and a Hawk Sport would get you well on your way in a very efficient (financial and mental) way.

A good micro heli would be an ms hornet or the piccolo. These seem to handle decent compared to the rest. But might i add they are not light on the pocketbook. Saw a hummingbird fly a few weeks ago or shall i say try to fly

DO some research on micro heli and you will find that it will cost you as
Much as the nitro heli if not more.
The micro heli’s requires a lot of upgrades to make them fly stable.
And if you are just starting out in heli’s get a sim first it will save you
Some $$$.

First heli I would go with a 50 size ship for it will have more power and it
Will be more stable then the 30 and less $$$ then a 60 size when you crash.

I have an Ms Hornet with no upgrades.
Tried to fly it but I found Real flight to cost me less $$$ to fly indoors.
