If I'm not mistaken, a Hummingbird Pro is a fixed pitch machine. If this is so, then you do not need a lot of the heli capabilities of your radio. In fact, if your gyro is a Heading Hold (HH) gyro, then you could get away with programming your radio as an airplane. The elevator and aileron channels could connect to the cyclic servos, the rudder channel could connect to the tail rotor control, and the throttle could connect to the main rotor motor control. Here's why:

Pitch and throttle mixing and curves only apply if you have a collective.

Revolution mixing only applies if you do not have an HH gyro.

When and if you move up to a machine with a collective, then you can worry about those things, because you will have more experience.

You're welcome. But, remember that hovering is not an easy thing to do. By their nature, helicopters are unstable, and it requires constant control and concentration to get one to fly properly. If you haven't tried flying on a simulator, I would recommend trying to hover there first. Crashing a virtual heli costs nothing. Crashing the real thing is expensive.
