Default Basic Mode 2 description

[8D]Just got the AeroHawk and of course the manual is frustrating and sparse....translation from Martian not done well. Is there a heli controller diagram for a Mode 2 controller that shows where the "rudder" and aerilon is?
I'm doing the excellent Radd Flight School lessons and the copter keeps sliding on the pad (before liftoff) and I want to use the "Aleron" - is that moving the right stick left and right??
Any good very basic RC helicopter books?

TIA

Harry

Thanks Chris,

That did help. Need all the advice i can get in this initial learning curve.

Now to figure out why during a spin up/spin down (pre-lift off) the tail starts to chatter.

Thanks
Harry

If you're using a HH gyro, its possible that the tail rotor control is up against a stop. Does the heli tail jerk to one side or the other just after liftoff? If this is the case, then you may need to operate in rate mode until you're just about to leave the ground.

OTOH, you could have an unbalanced tail rotor.
