Default Gyro sensitivity

I am learning forward flight now and have difficulty turning. I have to move the left stick of the tx (tail) most of it's way and hold it for the heli to complete the turn. Is this normal or should I reduce the sensitivity of my Gyro (it has heading hold)? If I do, how will this affect my hovering?

This sounds like you have reduced the yaw ATV on your transmitter. When you are using a gyro, the transmitter yaw input does not limit the servo travel. Instead, it only affects piro rate. You need to set your yaw ATV back to 100%.

That heading hold gyro is the problem... you need to flip the switch to turn off heading hold mode when doing laps around the traffic pattern.... or turn down the gain so the stick has more auhority.

The reduced gyro sensitivity (and removal of heading hold) may have you going back to some f the earlier hovering practice tasks. The gyro is supposed to be an aid... not the primary yaw control.
