Ok, here it comes. This is probably the stupidist question you'll have ever heard, but it doesn't say anywhere.
What kind of fuel do you need for a Raptor .30 V2 (with OS 32) ?
I read everywhere that the best thing to buy is Coolpower 30%. But one bottle of it is almost 40$ !!!. And it is pretty hard to believe that I would have to spend 40$ every time. I mean, for the same amount of money you get a full tank of gas for your car.
My real question is infact: Do you like have to mix the coolpower with something else ? or is it really that expensive ?

From my understanding, the OS engines are designed to work with 0 to 30% nitro . . . . . If you run 0%, your power output will drop somewhat, but with the correct muffler (ask around) and tuneing your OS should be just fine . . . There is a lot experience in Europe running low or no nitro (that's the big expense in Europe) . . . American and Asian flyers tend to use more nitro . . .

euhm, that's not really an answer, but thanks anyway.
I want to know or I have to mix the coolpower with something else, like I don't know fuel for a car or something.
I'm asking this, because Coolpower is expensive. It cost maby 20 times as much as normal fuel for a car or a scooter. And I thought that the coolpower was something you needed to ad to your main fuel which you can simply buy at a gas station.
So, do you ?
(to put it simple: do you fill your heli-tank with coolpower (30%) or do you lix somehting with it ?)

I don't know the brand names that are available in Europe, therefore I can't make a recommendation. I personally use Morgan, Byron and Master here in Texas. I can get good synthetic oil fuel with 15% nitro for about 15.00/gallon (~4 litres) or in quantity of 4 gallons at $12.50 gallon. The OS engine manual will give you guidlines on what it expects to fueled with. If you don't have the manual, then [link=http://www.osengines.com]OS Engines[/link] should be helpful. I'd visit a local hobby shop and look for fuel that has at least 20% oil - synthetic only. I'd buy as high as nitro content as I could afford . . . . Sorry for the lack of specifics . . .

I'm not really going to answer your question either because I don't know anything about mixing fuel. As far as I know Coolpower is ready to go out of the jug. If your talking about thinning it out with something else to stretch it out, then what are you spending your money on Coolpower for in the first place? I've used 10 & 15% nitro in my OS32 without any problems. I pay $16.00/gal for S&W 15%. I haven't noticed any real difference in power between brands. I think the bigger the name, the bigger the price. I don't know what's avail in Belgium but I would hope you have some alternatives.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, are you asking about mixing coolpower with gas from the gas station, in other words gasoline (petrol)? You CANNOT run gasoline in a glow engine like the OS. Coolpower (glow fuel) is a mixture of methanol, nitromethane and oil. Gasoline is a mixture of various hydrocarbons including heptane and octane.
If you seriously want a heli that can use inexpensive gasoline you need a "gasser" heli. Several companies make helis designed for gasoline engines. Miniature Aircraft, Bergen and Vario are a few.

ok, finally,
thanks bdhpil. That's all I needed to know.
I first thought it was many like the stuff you have to put in a scooter. (2 tanks: one for fuel and one for oil; and they mix together in the engine.) I thougth it was the same. But with coolpower instead of the oil.
But it isn't
thanks

Over here in New Zealand we can buy Methanol, cool-power oil. and the nitro seperatly and mix it ourselfs depending on what ratio we want. We pay around $36US for 20 litres of Methanol, $38US for 3.5 litres of coolpower oil and $36US for 2 litres of Nitro. At the end it works out to roughly around $6 for a litre of Fuel which is not to bad. Can you guys not get everything seperatly and mix it yourselves or are we just lucky.

From: gone,
We can get the separate parts of the fuel here in the US... just most people don't want to bother. (and its a bit hard to get small quantities...)
Companies that distribute fuel for dragsters have all the stuff needed. Methanol, Nitromethane and assorted oils (synthetics, castor ... you name it.) "Top Fuel Dragesters" use as much as 99% pure nitromethane for fuel. At high nitro concentration... the methanol is added as a fuel stabilizer and combustion chamber coolant.
NEVER put gasoline into glow fuel for use in a glow engine. You will create all kinds of problems.
Gasoline will attack the silicone fuel lines and the gaskets in the model engine carb. It can attack the plastics used for many fuel tanks used on models. It will destroy the siliconized rubber stopper used in the fuel tank.
Gasoline in a glow engine is asking for a fire. The flame in the muffler (you WILL have flame in the muffler using gasoline in the glow engine) can go into the fuel tank via the pressure line and explode the fuel tank.
