Gotta toot my own horn...Took the Rotopod off today and did not crash!! Did one tank with it on, then decided to bite the bullet. Practiced take off and landings without the pod on...flew great. A few more tanks, and I think the motor will be broken in. What a great feeling it was.

What is the next thing to try? Forward flight? I can hover tail in and 90* either side. Have not tried nose in hover except on a sim. So please chime in on what you think is the next step.

Good job, now practice, practice, practice your nose in, because when you move into FF you will have to do it. When the heli comes around to bring it back, your going to be nose in.

Thanks Charlie. Do you think I should put the Rotopod back on for the nose in, or do you think I should be ok? I think if I get into any trouble, that I can always turn it back to a tail in and land it. Then again I have been wrong before

You can do it either way, put your rotopod back on and learn close to the ground, or take the heli up good and high and learn that way.
