Default NEWBIE question

Hi:

I received a ESKY HONEYBEE 2 RC HELICOPTER for Xmas. My question is this. As you know helicopters come with their main blades folded. Once I unfold them, I suspect that I am suppose to tighten the little bolts to keep the blades in the open position. However, the manual makes no mention of this and if so, how much am I suppose to tighten the bolts? I suppose I could tighten then firmly without over-tightening but I would rather have some insight from PROs in order to correctly accomplish this small but important task and THANKS!

I'm no pro . But you don't want to over tighten. Tighten enough so that if you hold horizontaly the blade does not drop. If you make them tight they won't balance. Some one may be able to explain better ,but hope this helps you out!!!

Actually you don't want them very tight at all... The centrifigul force will keep them extended. Unless your doing hammer head stalls or something like that (with a micro? uhhh no... you don't have to worry about them striking the boom. If they have give, and you tip it, you've got a good chance of walking away with no damage... Tighten them down and your taking a big chance of causing some damage. Even the blades on my nitro heli are kept just tight enough to keep them from flopping around...
