Default Is 53,000 Mhz a bad frequency?

I'm buying a JR R600 reciever and the seller says that the crystal is just A8 (53,000Mhz). What exactly does he mean by that? The reciever didn't come with the battery pack and I was wondering if I had to buy the battery pack just for that receiver or if I could use any JR battery pack.

Default RE: Is 53,000 Mhz a bad frequency?

first of all, you will need a ham license to use that. you will also need a tx capable of having a module for the ham band, you can't just swap crystals to get to it...
