Default HELP setting up new TX

I have just got a new Hitec Optic 6 radio, and I'm trying to set it up for a Honey bee 2.

It looks like I have the everything working but the motor never comes on???

The red light on the rcvr never goes out. The same thing happens with the stock transmitter if you leave the throtle up.....

Do you have to slave any channels together????

What am I missing??

It"s a safety feature. The throttle and throttle trim have to be all the way down or it won't initialize when you plug the battery in.
