Default Venture 30 engine

I am a beginner pilot and someone set this up for me but went to another state for a new job and now I'm stuck with this chopper. Don't get me wrong, I love this Venture and it files great and I'm still using a rotopod training gear. My problem now is, the engine sounds like its dying but when I push the throttle up a lillte bit faster it dies on me. I have to start all over again and still doing the same thing even though the chopper is up to my eye level. I don't know anything about my radio JR6102 like I said someone is helping before. Please help me and I really do appreciate it.......Thanks Iloveheli.

Well I just happen to have a couple Ventures and also use the XP6102 I'll need a little more info in order to help though.. Type of engine, glow plug, and fuel used, good fuel/clunk lines, etc. Also, how well and long does the engine run until you start having problems? If your hovering fine at eye level for awhile and gradually lose power your running lean and overheating. There are ALOT of possibilities....but we'll get it figured out for ya!

If you don't live to far from these guy's, maybe you can send one of them an email and ask if they would be willing to give you a hand (I'm sure they would be happy to).

I used 10 % for gas and I fly this chopper once every 2 weeks and I had this chopper for about6 months now but I hardly use it. Don't you think the engine still breaking up (webra engine). Do I need to click the idle clockwise (2 clicks). Thanks again for your time RADOBAHN.

Hmm.. I've never used 10% and dont fly with anyone who does, nor do I have any experience with Webra engines. Small group of guys I fly with use 15% for the OS .50 engines and a couple (including myself) run 30% with the OS .32 and .37. I'm not saying 10% is bad I've just never used it.
If you turn the mixture valve clockwise that should lean your mix...try running richer (counter-clockwise) and see if you get any improvement on power and temperature. I dont think you can compare a Webra to OS in regards to tuning but just FYI I run the mixture screw on my OS .32 at around 2 full turns out. Do you have the manual for your engine? If not you could prob find the info needed on Webras website.
