ha ha ha I finally did it
Last night I finally got a good hover out of my honey bee. Nice and controlled, it wasn't perfect as it didn't stay perfectly still in the air, but I did manage to keep it in a 3'x3' box about 9-10 feet in the air. My five year old was amazed that I actually landed the thing afterwards as well.
Who says you can't hover a fixed pitch micro-copter?

Yeah, it did feel pretty good. After doing it I realized that it's all about controlling the copter from the get go and not letting go of it. Over compensation is the enemy. You just have to be patient and let your control inputs happen before you put any more in. I know everybody has said something similar like that before, but it's one thing to know it and another altogether to be able to do it.
I thought it would take a lot longer to learn to hover, especially after hearing how terrible FP is to hover. Maybe I got lucky though. I'll find out tonight.

Good, I had a hard time with the helicopter controling me, what you have to do is control the heli copter. If that makes sense. When i was learning I could keep it in the air but it would go where ever it wanted like drift around my backyard but after a while i got it to go where I wanted it to. Youll see what im talking about. Later
