Default I need some assistance

I am on my second helicopter ESC. It is made by Evo flight, and it is 20Ah. The ESC was connected to a 1500 mah lipo by kokam . Whenever I would turn the transmitter on and move the control linkages with the tx the ESC got really hot, and eventually it burned out. My second ESC is doing this also. I dont know what I could be doing wrong. I have a small receiver by hitec (6ch), and a futaba heli radio. These are being used on a shogun heli. Any tips are appreciared thnx.

Default RE: I need some assistance

shogun has 4 servos. there have been multiple posts about esc cutouts/burnouts due to overloading of the bec (part of esc that supplies/regulates power to the reciever and servos). you want an esc that has a bec rating of at least 2 amps. with the shogun, i would also consider an esc that has at least a 25 amp rating for the motor. Also, check that your servos/linkages are not binding which can cause excessive amp draw when activated. A faulty servo that is not binding can also cause esc failure.
