Default Thinking of getting a used Hawk. Please help!

Hello everyone!

I'm relying on my fellow RCU readers on this one.

I'm a airplane guy, but have ALWAYS (before I even started flying RC) been a helicopter guy. Yesterday for my first time, I saw someone with a nitro powered helicopter at my local flying club. I need one NOW! I have been flying a CP honeybee for a few months, and I can fly it, but I need a nitro now. Anyways, I found this Hawk on ebay, and I want to know what everyone thinks. I've already emailed the seller, and asked him about the condition and stuff.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=5995641409

if anyone has a second and could have a look for me, that would be great! I really dont even know what I'm looking at. So long as this thing hasn't been totally smashed, I'm interested.

Please let me know as this item ends in 3 days!

Thanks everyone!

Carlyle

It's no deal by any means, it will get you in the air, but it old. They don't make those servos anymore and I have never heard of that gyro, I assume it a standard rate gyro (not heading hold). I believe they don't sell that radio anymore, it got replaced with 6102. He is definitely asking top dollar for it in my opinion. It's up to you, but in my opinion, their are better deals out there then that.

Thanks for your reply. I am going to email him, and offer to buy it for less than what he is asking. I'm thinking of offering him 400 canadian for it. I feel that would be reasonable considering it has some damage, and all the compoents are outdated.

Perhaps there is another place I could look to try and find a used helicopter at a reasonable price? I'm looking for something complete, with radio equipment, and engine, etc. Everything I will need to fly.

Thanks again for your help
Carlyle.

You might find something on [link=http://www.rccanada.ca/bb/index.php?sid=093fe5bab7b618c089900143681d2367]RC-Canada[/link] in the for sale helicopter section, or put a post on there telling people what your looking for.
