Hi, I had a normal heli with 2 servos, one of the servos went and I bought another. The connection did not fit in the board so I arranged it with the older servo's plug. It worked but the it was supposed to be the other way around. The servo has 3 wires and I connected them OK with the older wire.
Any suggestions as how to make it work OK..

What?....did you reverse the red and black wires from the receiver to the servo or the red and black wires from the battery????
I cant see how reversing the servo wires would damage anything but he servo itself, if it would damage anything at all.

As impossible as it may seem I had my favorite reciver installed and when I swithed the red and black wires OF THE SERVO I fried the board. It was a horrible smell, well it still does work, controlling the main and rear motor but not the servos

You need to get a different brand servo, for instance a JR servo will spin the opposite direction from a futaba servo with the same wires hooked up. Hope this helped??

I've heard of people opening up the servo and reversing leads on the drive motor and the sensing pot. I'm sure you could do a search and find some instructions.
Oh hell, here's a couple of links that describes how to do it. Took me 10 seconds to "google" it.

reverse teh gears inside of the servo will only fix the problem if you can't get the motor to run the proper dirrection.
If you burnt the reciver, it is because you had reverse flow like on a "Brake charging speedcontrol" as the motor becomes a Generator.
Sorry d00der.
This is why you should use OEM spec equipment and servos as designed for such. Even the frequency of the motor and gearing could be different and torque could change and if unballanced could cause handling issues.
Get the proper servo you need, and problems will end
* ya can't fit a Ford rim on a Chevy hub.

Dave the problem is that I can't find any more jabo servos with the white small connector...
Recently I bought a PICO servo for ****in $60 from Malta, and when I connected the same wires it work fine and all.
But the e-sky servo did not..
