G3 sim. problem, or is it me? I'm a newbie. I've been trying to lift off the Impala 30 trainer for two weeks. Even after trimming it shoots off quickly in one or more directions. It moves so fast I lose sight of it. It takes very little stick to move it, but response to correction is slow, especialy sideways. Unlike the G2, G3 has no demos for hovering or straight flight. I've complained to Real Flight and they say these are now being developed. I suggest other owners and prospects do the same.

I have an E-Flite CP coming, but I won't open the box until I can handle this sim., if that's possible. Please tell me it's me ... not the sim. Hopefully "me" can improve.

I have no problem with my G3 and have not even trimmed anything. Have you calibrated your controller? I got my G3 three months after my blade cp and honestly can hover the blade easier than on the sim.

The G3 help menu says the controller hardly needs calibrating, and doesn't tell me how to do it anyway. I'm not good at taking things apart ... I always have pieces left over. I'd be happy to just fly.

I found it! There's a button on the tool bar called "controller." Push that and another says "calibrate." I did and it did! Now the heli behaves better. Thanks again.
