Venture 30 Blade Grips
Hey All,
Finally crashed my Venture 30. Among the parts that broke is one of the grips. I read somewhere that I should upgrade to the Ergo grips.
Does anyone have a part nomber? Are the bearings the same as Venture grips? How about the damper rubber?
Thanks as Always

RE: Venture 30 Blade Grips
The grips (JRP960063) and spindle (KSJ654) are available from Horizon but they no longer carry the thrust bearing kit (KSJ389). I got the KSJ parts from rchelis.com. They also have a clearance sale on venture stock at 30% off until it's gone. I believe Kingrc.com and Mtahobbies.com also carry the ksj parts. These parts will eliminate the play in the blade grips. before i installed them i had about an inch of up/down play at the tips of the main blades, now it's less than 1/4".

RE: Venture 30 Blade Grips
You can order the KSJ1389 from Horizon or any one else for that matter. The KSJ 1389 comes with a thicker spindle( 6mm Vs 5mm ) and all the bearings including the thrust bearings. I just put this kit on this week. The new spindle fits very snug in the stock dampers, Horizon said it was designed to fit snug. I orederd the Ergo 40 grips JRP960063, don't really see any difference in them, they are a little different shape, but other then that, they appear to be the same, at least where the bearings go. I just reused my stock grips and kept the new ones as spares.

RE: Venture 30 Blade Grips
Thanks for the help,What I ordered was the Ergo grips [JRP960063), 3D BLADE SPINDLE SHAFT:JR30-50,VEN (KSJ1383), And the stock bearings
BALL BEARINGS,5X13X4MM:A,B,E,CP(2) (JRP981004). Also bought FLYBAR CONTRL ARM,ALUM:VENTURE3 (KSJ1178) and a few OEM parts.
Bought some dampers of different degrees. 20 and 40 which is harder? What is the stock deg? Thought the word used to measure rubber hardness was DUROMETER? Or am I outdated again?
Also bouught two flybars 410mm and 500 mm and two sets of paddles. CONTROL PADDLE SP-30,YELLOW (KSJ328Y) I don't think they're 3D, and a set of 3D OEM paddles.
I think I'll start with the 500mm FB and the KSJ paddles.
Thanks for the free advice.
Ya get what ya pay for. LOL!

Hueyman,
Just uploaded some pix to my gallery. See if this link works for ya. http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...y&memid=141102
Have a short video of the thing out of control and heading to the ice until my son took the camera away from his eye. Also have some close in circuits on video. They're both shot using a digital camera, not video cam.
DUH, or ya can just click bottom left corner of this post, My Gallery. LOL
If I was smart, I'd be dangerous!!!!
