Default My MX400-Pro paint job

Still needs some touch up but here's the paint job I recently did on my Helimax MX400-Pro.

Well, yesterday was my 1st true flight. The other flights were simple hovers in the street out front of my house. Unfortunately, my receiver started to hiccup and it crash landed. Luckily only the main blades were busted so it's an easy fix. Upon further inspection, I'm thinking it was due to the rudder connection into the receiver. It was seated all the way so I think it was losing contact during some bigger manuevers. Before that happened though, the thing flew quite nicely. Can't wait to get it back into the air.

Most likely the hiccup was not your receiver but was caused by interference in your ESC. The fix is to use a ferrite ring (a small iron ring available through some hobby mail order or Radio Shack) and wrap your wire from the ESC to the receiver through it.

Do a search on ferrite rings.

I've heard alot of people say those ferrite rings are bogus.
Have you actually noticed a physical difference in overall glitches using one?

My X 400 would flat not fly. Even with a fully charged 2100 battery it would hover for about a second then glitch. I put a Radio Shack ring on it and the problem totally disappeared.

Saturday I looked at Danny Szabo's T Rex and it had a ring. What does that tell you?

Good info EZMoney, i'll look into them, as a precaution, if nothing else. [8D]
