Default Installing cooling fan on OS 50 Hyper

I have started the Raptor 50 SE. I cannot find any mention of whether or not to use the supplied thrust washer that comes installed on the crankshaft along with the nut on the OS 50 Hyper engine. I am following the Raptor 50 v2 from Raptor Technique assembly manual, the manual that came with my Raptor 50 and also the write-up that barricudahockey had posted regarding the proper installation of the fan assembly so it does not spin off during starting. No where can I find information as to use this washer between the fan and the front crank brg!! Any help would be appreciated, Ace9.

No washer. I used a Raptor but I wrote it in a generic sense, some need it some don't. Raptor Technique however specifies no washer.

Thanks barracudahockey; I went ahead and installed the cooling fan without using the washer. I looked at the manual for the regular OS 50SX and it showed the thrust washer just behind the drive hub which is commonly used for airplane applications. I therefore figured that I could get by without it as the outside diameter of the contact area on the cooling fan seems to be close to the outside diameter of the thrust washer were it touches the frt crankshaft brg. Thanks for the confirmation, Ace9.

What happens is if you use a washer is the clutch is pushed up into the top of the clutch bell. Bad things happen then.
