Default ELE Brushless ESC programming problem!

I have a problem with programming an ELE EBSC-2500BH brushless 25Amp esc.
When the unit was first powered on one week ago, I could here tones coming from the motor.
I disconnected the battery and found that my Futaba Channel 3 needed to be reversed.
Since then I can operate the motor with not enough torque and very jerky movements at the beginning.

I tried to enter the setup mode for this unit by holding the throttle stick high as per the manual but I do not get any sounds of any kind to indicate what the unit is doing! I’ve tried to reverse channel 3 with no improvement. Even during regular operation I do not get sounds.
I can't change the span or range on my transmitter channel 3 like newer units.
I've tried another radio system from my T-maxx and I still do not get sounds.
I've also tried other channels with no luck

Thanks for any assistance!

My items are as follows;

X-400 Heli
Esky servos and receiver
ELE EBSC-2500BH 25 Amp ESC
Out runner type motor 3000 Kv
Futaba Conquest FP-T5NLH transmitter.
