Hey Guys.
I recently bought a Blae CP from my local hobby shop. I took it out of the box and did all of my normal pre-flight stuff, checking it out and making sure she was good to go. So I spooled the heli up and got it a little light on the skids when I started to smell burning plastic. I looked closer at the nose of my craft to find that it had smoke boiling out of the canopy. So I immediatly powered down and the heli started chirping and acting as if I was getting radio interference. So I grabbed the battery and disconnected it, and pulled my canopy off to find my 4-in-1 unit fried. I called Horizon Hobby and they just told me to send it in and they would send me a new one.
Does anybody know what the hell happened and why it did?
Greatly appreciated,

I have heard of this happening before. Sometimes it is just a component in the 4-in-1 that goes out. Other times it could be the battery that causes the problem. But since you called Horizon and they want to replace it for you, that is a good thing. I have been using mine for over 6 months and haven't had a problem with mine at all. Others have mentioned the same problem you have mentioned. Remember, these are electronics and sometimes they just go out.
Gook luck and hope you get into the air quickly.

Okay. Thanks man. I figured it was a problem like that, maybe that 4-in-1 unit was defective or something. Or perhaps my battery had a discharge surge. But yeah...definately glad that they are refunding the problem.
