Default Beginner question and more

As some of you, I am completely new to r/c and I have decided to start with heli's. After reading some reviews, I picked up the Megatech House Fly 2. Very happy with it and after only a few days I am getting around my basement pretty good. Being completely new to this I have a ton to learn but a few questions:

As expected I have had a few run ins with furniture, floor, ceilings, etc...I now have a pretty decent shimmey/vibration that I can't seem to get rid of. Still flys great...but... Checked the weighted fly rod and as did the best job possible making sure it was completely straight and true, but can't completely get rid of the shimmy...thoughts??

The Li Po battery that came with it - is the charger that came with it safe to continue to use or is one of the balanced chargers a better way to go?

That is it for now - thanks!

I would say that if the shake started after bumping into stuff you might have bent one of the main shafts. If you already checked the flybar and it did'nt shake before the only thing that is left is the main shaft.

Yeh thats about the stupidist term isnt it? Every heli flys in 3D. Freestyle aerobatics is much better.

I just invented "4-d" aerobatics.
I'll do them tomorrow.

That is what I thought on the 3D question - Thanks! Also - I still have a way to go to getting comfortable with my Housefly, but what is the next heli I should be looking to get into. Thanks!

The Li Po battery that came with it - is the charger that came with it safe to continue to use or is one of the balanced chargers a better way to go
More likely then not, your heli kit included a balancing charger specialy designed for the battery. Meaning that if your heli came with a 2 cell battery, it will only charge 2 cell batteries according to whatever the voltage and size of the battery is. Never try charging other batteries other then the one that came with the kit or replacements with the charger. Also, you could check the manufacturer's website and there should be a description about the charger shipped with the kit. Li-pos are known for swelling and possibly starting fires so preventive procaution is always wise. Many people will place thier recharging battery(ies) into a ceramic pot like a cooking jar or something. And you should always examine the battery checking for swelling and other deforms - replace the battery if you find any. You will also get more life out of the battery if you do not over-discharge or
run the battery down between charges. I generally fly my heli till i begin to notice significant power loss (50% power loss from the throttle).
I am new to the heli thing too but li-po batteries are all the same. Good luck and have fun!
