you know, im not even sure..... but, whatever motor i put in it will have pinions..... i have that 4200 kv motor coming thats rated at 3800 rpm/kv, and the stupid thing has a 2mm shaft, ill see if i cant find 8t/9t to try with it on the falcon..... and maybe i wont have to, as my falcon's motor still seems to work, its the esc thats fooked.

Just received my dx6i. What a wait. But was worth it. I may have a few questions re: setting it up with my new servos. Probably more of a servo question.
I am looking at picking up a lama coax to play with in the house etc. If I want to set up with the dx6i, I'm assuming that I will have to mount a Spektrum receiver in it. Any suggestions here, {I know I'm in the Shark forum} but I know that some of the guys here fly different machines. I had seen the 6300 micro, anyone know if it will fit? This lama thing will be 2 machines for my son and I to set up as Extreme Lamas. He is just going nutz over these helis @ 9 years old. Want to start him out on a coax though, a step up from the AirHogs micros.

the carbon Shark 450 project is underway got the kit from Goldrust1 and am getting it started. Waiting on gyro and receiver, and will use one of my spare JR digital servos on the tail like my Shark 450. This will get a 5 blade rotor hub before the year is out. Wife say's I'm outacontrol. I also got a rex 450V2 clone as well from Delfin that I'm working on as well.

just looked at the url and no it's not that helicopter. It is a clone of the T-rex 450 V2. I had one of each and side by side they are identical. This was a kit and it's still not completed. Probably another 2-3 weeks as I'm waiting on gyro and servo for the tail. Also need more Lipo's and the Specktrum recievers should be here eary next week. The Carbon Shark is a carbon version of the origional Shark450. only difference is the frames are .006" thinner but the whole frame is way stiffer.

other than the rotor head and tail assy virtually everything. Frames, upper and lower and motor mount, bearing blocks, boom blocks, struts almost everything. This thing is a T-Rex 450 V2 less the align badges. Same size as the Shark but it's a rex clone all the way. If you want a rex project this thing is the best buy bar non. That said I really think the new Shark450 Carbon edition is the way to go. Same as our trusty and great flying Shark with the addition of carbon frames and fins etc.

cool.... ill look into the shark carbon kit ;-) although as i just recieved my blackhawk 450 se pro last night, ill have to wait a while ;-) im re-powering the shark with a cyclone mini heli punch, and also have the hl2215-450 on the way...... i may use it in my falcon 3d if the mini heli punch does the job! and i had to order another spektrum ar 6100 for the falcon, as i stole the ar 6200 out of it last night for the blackhawk. and i ordered a different gyro ( art-tech) v2 for the BH, as it came with a wierd little power-tech gyro, that cant be adjusted from the TX....

wow... i put my falcon in "the ditch" today!!!! i was hovering, and fine i must say :-) so, i did some FF, this thing really punches out! i was flying forward, stopping, turning side to side, but chickening out and coming back tail in..... i was doing alot of zigging and zagging, using the cyclic and rudder together, making smooth turns. good practice, and ALOT of fun.

anyways my neighbor stops by, standing right beside me, i hear him say "wheres the throttl......." then thats about when i had it tilted sideways to the grass side of a steep ditch, full of water, "brrrraaaaap" the blades flew off, and it flipped over RIGHT IN THE WATER, submerged about 10"..... yikes. i reach down, with whatever speed a dude riddled with arthritis can come up with and pull it out, quickly disconnecting the lipo. this cant be good.

upon first inspection, just the main blades and a flybar. rear tail has a tiny nick in it, but not bad. i let it "dry" out for 2 hrs, and just fired it up, after the flybar and mainblades installed. works like a charm. i figured my ESC would be toast.....

this is what they must mean by "puttin' er in the ditch" :-)

Different topic...Wanted to set my servo arms and was wanting to know how exactly the motor on the shark "should" be disconnected. There are many ways, but what's the best that isn't going to damage anything..........Thanks!

Glad the falcon is an aqua-falcon! Hey, exactly which helis do you have? I thought you said you ordered a BH 500 from a guy. Did you get the 450 instead? I'm interested to hear your comparison to flying your Shark compared to flying the BH 450 SE.

demo up.

i have the falcon 3d

the shark 450

and a BH 500 se pro

so far the shark 450 is my favorite..... but i havnt given the BH more than 4-5 packs, i need to do alot of setup on it, it has great potential, and i am looking into getting some 4s packs for it, then it should rip ;-) and im ordering a different gyro for it, as the one that it has isnt adjustable from the TX, little things. (unless i get a $100+ gyro) ;-)

i have a soft spot for the shark 450, as i learned off of it....

Hey Rotor, had 2 packs with my TREX V2 clone this afternoon. The tail lock solid with the new LOGICTECH gyro. Now it flies like my SHARK. Thank you for setting it up for me.

slowly building my V2"C" should have it airborne tomorrow afternoon. Have chores and some running around in the AM. Flew the Shark this afternoon and didn't get the battery charged (afternoon nap interupted) and this evening it's dead calm out there. How's that for stupid. Oh well, as I'm not at the shop I can fly it when ever I want to again.

Hey Rotor, can help it not to show my next project. Got the 6100 Logictech gyro and just waiting for the ESC and 6S2P battery to arrive to complete this project. When can I convince you to build E-Smart too? Heard there's TREX 500 clone coming in as well, maybe next month.
