I have just gotten a blade CX2 and I have issues with it in forward flight. It will fly forward about ten feet, then the nose pitches up, and it slows down and climbs slightly, then dips, regains speed, and repeats. Same thing in reverse. In a real helicopter this would seem like it ccan't break thru ETL, but what about here? I have it trimmed well, and both linkages are in the 2nd holes. This is happening with full forward "cyclic" for lack of a better word and good power.

I have just purchased the same Heli, and am having the same issue. Good trianer, but not that much fun if you can't do "continuous" forward flight. If you hear of any answers, please reply to "[email protected]" - Thanks - I'll keep surfing to see if I can find out more.
I have all of my adjustments made to full throws etc., but 10 feet & she noses up? Could be a wind resistance issue on the leading blades? You know, pushing them "up" or "level" when the forward speed gets to that point? I dunno.

The first thing I wondered about is did you have this problem before you moved the servo linkage to the second hole?? Do you have the same problem if you move forward or backward slowly?? how about the alerion. If you move the heli sideways do you have a simular problem?

YES - HAD THE PROBLEM BEFORE I ALTERED AND SERVO HORN HOLES. ONLY DID SO IN THE HOPES OF GETTING MORE THROW. IT DOES FLY FORWARD/BACK, VERY SLOWLY, IF I FEATHER FORWARD/BACK IN AN "PUSHING" MOTION WITH THE STICK. THIS MACHINE DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE THE FORWARD "UMPH" OF MY BLADE CP (WHICH IS A LITTLE HYPER FOR ME, HENCE THE CX-2) BUT THIS CX-2 IS JUST LACKING. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET FASTER FORWARD FLIGHT WOULD BE GREAT. I KNOW IT'S NOT A CP & THAT IT HAS A FAIRLY LINEAR FLIGHT, AND THAT I WON'T BE GETTING INTO ANY BANKED TURNS OR ANYTHING, BUT SOMETHINGS MISSING - YOU KNOW. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.

If you want more power you can tape or velcro a 3 cell 11 volt battery to the undercarrage between the landing gear. It will not fry the reciever as there is a regulator to protect it. The motors will last quit a while before they fry. The only problem I have had is the plastic gears will strip out over time if you hit the throttle hard. You can get new motors for $10.00 each. I bought some but have not needed to change them yet. I you fly your heli a lot you will notice that the plastic gears last longer than the brass gear on the motors. When I noticed the brass gear was getting worn I started t use the 11 volt battery more knowing the I will ghange them soon anyway.

Not sure how a 11.1 lipo and worn gears figure into a FF issue but I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack.
theman1990......... there are a couple of sites dedicated to improving the CX2's flight characteristics and behaviors. I think your main problem is that the flybar will always brign the CX2 back into a stable hover. The downside of a begginer heli.
However.......there are fixes to improve FF with a slight loss of stability. A shorter flybar will not have so much of an effect on the upper blades and allow you to "gas around in FF as much as you like.
check out this site and see if anything catches your eye:

Also the Eflite forum under electric heli's has alot of info on the CX2's as well as a great bunch of guys who collectively make Einstien look a lil lysdexic and slow. Look here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_447/tt.htm
If you don't find what you are looking for, post in the Eflitre forums and somebody will have either done that, tried it or witnessed it firsthand.

Thanks AreoNautic - I'll check those out. I am getting a bit better forward flight now, but had to move to the furthest hole! It's ok, I guess, but I'll check those site out. Thanks again. I'll let you know how they work.
