Ok,
So I have been flying the Micro Mcx for a while and am hooked. I have spent a ton on time on realflight, and just bought a Axe CPv3. It is relatively unstable and I crashed it already...............I have decided that I need a bigger, more stable heli. I have been looking and it seems like nitro is the only way to go for something big with some stability.
I am looking for a good beginner nitro heli. I am considering .30-.60 size, with a bias towards the Raptor 30 with Pro 39 engine.
What do you guys think? Is there any advantage to a 50 or 60 over the 30 besides extra power? I know the 50 is close to the same airframe as the 30..................
I am thinking I need a DX7 for the radio package..............extra channel plus everyone seems to think its easier to use!
Also, who is good to deal with on purchase? I was looking at Heliproz and A main hobbies.................

You have the answers to all your questions.....
If your budget can hold it, I would go with a 50. There is no way that you will outgrow the 50's mix of agility, stability, power to weight ratio and cost.
The DX7 is a great radio, but again, if your budget can hold it, I would go with an 8 or 9 channel radio in the 2.4 band. The 60 is underpowered for the size and the 90 is fairly expensive and intimidating.
You cannot go wrong with Heliproz or Ron's Heliproz south (rcheli.com)

they take alot of space to fly and alot of cities dont allow these heli`s in their parks. they are noisy and big.
if you dont live around people or you have a big field outside of town then your good to go.
i know where i use to see people flying heli`s in my area they all went to electric. they got tired of getting tickets for the noise.
and got tired of driveing 30 miles to find atleast a foot ball size field to fly in

In the 30 class of nitro, I would recommend the Hawk Pro...it has a relatively low price that does not reflect properly the quality and performance potential of the Kit with a good engine like the OS-37.
http://www.centuryheli.com/products/...?currentid=302
It can take you from initial training to well into 3D flight...and all at relatively low cost due to the low cost of feeding an OS 37 engine with fuel, the low cost of crash parts and the fact it has very low maintenance because the stock parts seem to last forever and perform very well, you will not have to be spending money on upgreades.
Also for consideration, is that, due to the low cost of getting it in the air (heli & motor), you will have that much more of your budget to spend on the radio, servos and gyro. These are far more important components of the total package that gets into the air and if purchased properly at the outset, will be with you for a long time.
If you want bigger like a 50 size. Take a serious look at their Raven 50 which is more like a smaller version of their 90 size Predator then a bigger version of their 30 as are most others.

I have also heard some good things about the Trex 600N and the Hirobe Sceadu Evolution......................
How do they compare to the raptors?

It is up to you. The Trex is a little more agile than the Raptor (2 reasons: gearing and weight), I have very little experience with the Scaedu, so I will not comment there. All three are very good helicopters. Pack an OS Hyper or a YS50 in either one of them and you will be set for a very long time.
