Default Simulators

Hello,

i'm looking at the different simulators out there (some free some $$$$$). One thing i'm not to clear about is the controller to use with the simulator... do most RCheli controllers have a way to be hooked up tthe PC ? or do you have to buy a special controller ?

would using a PCjoystick (the ones that have 2 analog sticks) be 'good-enough' or do i really need to be using an RC style controller ?

thanks!

You're not going to get much out of using a joystick other than amusing yourself.

Some simulators like G4 come with a dummy transmitter, some like Pheonix use your regular trasnsmitter hooked up to a buddy port.

Go with the Phoenix...I've used the real flight as well, and prefer the Phoenix sim much more.

Check out the Flight Simulator Comparison Chart:

Not sure it's up to date but very enlightening.
