Default tail slide ring failure

Any venture owners,
I have a venture that has only been in the air 3 times (hovering). The last time I took it out to the field, everytime I would start to get it in the air it would yaw violently to the left. After looking at gyro, settings, etc. I discovered the tail slide ring had broken at the "plastic seam". After calling the help line to have a new one sent under warranty I got the third degree from them, saying that this is not a normal failure, however, I have seen a few posts already of failure of this piece. They did agree to send one to me, but wanted me to send the broken one to them for 'inspection"?? Any other owners have this problem. I was quite dissapointed with the tone of their inquiries.

Also, having problems getting the tail slide ring sleeve out of the tail slide--just spins in place? Is it supposed to unscrew? Any help would be appreciated.

Default Tail Slide Ring

The ball on mine got really sloppy after a few monthes. Since I had read quite a few post about this problem, I decided to go ahead and upgrade to some Ksj parts. I got the ksj 1179 and the ksj 396. These are an aluminun tail slide ring and a tail pitch lever. The metal ring came with a metal ball and the pitch lever is all aluminum also. What a major improvement it made in my tail on my heli.

You can get all the parts from Ricks.

Default thanks

I really appreciate the response. Those parts look much more solid.
Any ideas on getting the sleeve out?

Default Sleeve Removal

The sleeve is just left hand threads. It just unscrews the opposite way that you think it would.
