Default Newbie Q: Using RTF transmitter on new built heli

Hello Everyone,
I have a Dynam 450 RTF. Can I use that Trasmitter and Receiver on a new AFT Align T-Rex? Basically what I'm trying to know is can I can just plug in the servo, gyro and ESC to the Dynam Receiver and just fly.

Or do I need to buy a Transmmitter and Receiver and program it?

thanks,
Seanx

you will need matching tx rx  unless you get a jr tx for some reason jr can bind to spectrum rx  but spectrum tx cant bind to jr. so if you have a dynam rx you will need  compatible dynam tx. i have a spectrum dx6i i would sell its  used for a few days but bought a dx7 so i could control lights on the my birds but the dx6 is still like brand new

yes sir you may have to change settings for pitch etc in your tx for your new bird though this is where it gets sketchy sometimes but if you search it  its possible some 1 else has done this and they will get you close on your settings in your tx

if you have some xp in setup then you can basically go in  unplug 2 motor wires and start at 50 % throttle see what pitch is on your main blades then make adjustments then goto full throttle etc etc  at 50 % you want around 0 pitch full somwhere around +10 and low stick around -3  thats for basic sport flying  for idle up  full throttle prob +12 - 13   low throttle -12 -13  you want this to match in idle up

I have this tx
http://www.xheli.com/60h-dy8918-b-ra...-24g-blue.html

near the bottom of the page.

I want to get a dx6i, but from the looks of it, it's just too complicated for me right now to program it and program the ESC. I've looked at youtube videos, but it's still confusing as heck to me so that's why I'm just wondering if this will work out.

All you have to do this winter if your serious about this Hobby is go to heli freak, join, and go to Finless Bobs tech room and start watching videos. If you don't understand something watch it over and over. I watched how to set up a gyro so many times I would fall asleep and one day it finally "clicked" . Then you can ask more specific questions too. Hope this helps!
