Hi, I just purchased a Shuttle Plus (this is my first heli.), and have been assembling it the past few night with no problems. However, like usual, I have ran into a problem. I spent an hour and a half last night trying to get the tail rotor belt around the drive gear (above the cluch, which I'm sure you all know already). I finally got it on after some persuasion, but it is REALLY tight. I have no room to loosen it at all!!
Also, when I spin the rotor head, it's not smooth. I thinks its the belt from being so tight. Help!! I don't want to get any farther before I figure this out.
thanks!

About the above post, I don't mean to sound pissed or anything. I understand that this is a learning process, but I get impatient. I just hope I didn't wreck the cluch shaft or bearings by trying to fit this tight belt.
Oh, one more thing
I also noticed that there is a bit of binding when moving tail blades for rudder. The screws are not overly tight, but still feels 'tight'. Again, I am just trying to get this right the first time!!

As far as belt tension goes, it sounds like you have not pushed the tail boom in as far as it will go. Sometimes you have to give it a little nudge to bottom it.
also, make sure you have the proper mesh between all the gears.

thanks, Wringer!!
that is exactly what it was. And actuall, there was a bit of 'flashing' preventing the tail from being inserted all the way.
thanks again!!
