You can get a Heli-coil put in it and it will be better than new. It is 1/4" 32 thread so isn't common. Walter Lee does them for around $5 as I understand. I hope somone can post the address here. I've seen it but didn't save it.

The ones they list are 1/4" by 20 threads per inch and 28 threads per inch. The type you need is 1/4" with 32 threads per inch. They are hard to find.
