I would like to setup Idle up 1 on my Raptor 50. I am using a -5 5.5 8 in Normal mode and -9 0 9 in idle up 1. Here is my question lets say I am hovering in normal mode and switch to idle up 1. My pitch will go from 5.5 to 0 and the heli is going to come down? Will I have to be ready to increase my throttle/collective immediately after the switch? BTW, I am hovering mid stick at 1560 rpm. Will probably try a set Mavrikk Glass blades and run 1850 for my idle up 1 mode. I am bored of flying in circles and stall turns. I think it is time for me to start doing loops and rolls. Thanks

I like to be able to switch modes without having the heli lurch up or down so I keep all the pitch curves the same. Just the throttle changes so when I go to a idle up curve I only hear an rpm increase.

or you can use normal mode just to spool up your blades and then flip to idle up before you lift off. i never understood why anyone would want to hover at a lower head speed than they would use in fff or aerobatics unless they're doing precision fai stuff and want a soft response in hover. to me, hovering is only for takeoff and landing.
