This one is simple for all to answer. Just type in what was the first helicopter you owned. (ex: "Kyosho Nexus") Umm... I think you guys can figure this one out.

TSK MyStar with JR Century VII radio. Not quite the best machine to learn on. But, I did learn a lot about mechanical setup without a computer radio.

Shuttle was a GREAT helicopter. I learned on it and so did a friend of mine. The belt start was a pain in the a$% though. The new ones have a top start. The high mainshaft all but eliminates tailboom strikes (common beginner error)
You cannot go wrong with a shuttle and they are going cheap on the Heli for sale column.....Got to tell you though I now got a Raptor and I feel it is a better flying machine. And a big bonus...parts are cheaper
