Default Please help with brushless setup

Hi,

i have a dragonfly 22D and i want to install a brushless motor. I have a Himax 2015-4100 Brushless Motor and a Castle Phoenix 10 ESC. The dragonfly 22D has a receiver, speed controller and gyro all in one (see pic1). There are 2 wires comming out of that box, wich go to the motor (see pic2). How do i install the brushless ESC and the brushless motor? Pic4 comes from the instruction manual.

Thanks,

Spoetnic

You can't do it with that equipment. You could change receivers to a regular 5 or 6 channel, get a separate gyro and another ESC for the tail rotor motor.
Your existing RX has no signal for your CC10 ESC to run off of since the main motor ESC is internal to the RX.

Hi,

Can't you do it as described in this link?

That link only describes how to hook up the CC-10 ESC to a conventional RX and brushless motor. As basmntdweller said, you don't have any way to connect the throttle input of the ESC to the all-in-one board.

I toughed that you could hook up the CC-10 ESC throttle input to port 3 of the receiver, according to picture 4. No?

I'm confused. Is that box on the far right side JUST a receiver or is it an all in one control. Do you have a separate gyro and a separate ESC in addition to that unit on the right. If so, you should be able to connect the ESC's signal input to channel 3 of the RX.

Thanks for the reply's so far. I think that it's an all in one control (read pic4), port3 (throttle) and4 (gyro) aren't used with a stock dragonfly 22d. But is it possible that you could extend it with a separate gyro or ESC or both?
