Yes, you are missing something. Someone had to design the kit, find a source for the parts or a way to make them in house, and oh yeah, pay the bills. If it's too much don't b---- about it, just find something else.

this wasnt sold by one man its from a store that means it should cost less ..... so the store is over charging i guess and dont be so angry

Honestly, if $45 is too much, find the kit somewhere else or do it yourself.

You'll quickly find that tracking down all the parts you need, doing the labor and trial and error, the time you save by buying the kit is well worth more than 45 dollars. If your one of those do it yourself types, have at it, some enjoy that more than assembling pre packaged parts. The nice thing about this hobby is it has something for everyone from ARF's to just plans.

This hobby isn't cheap. Parts cost a ton. The shop selling them usually doesn't make a lot of money on them. Someone must be, but the shop isn't.

If your going to play, you gotta pay. Just the way it is.
