Hey guys I am looking to purchase a thunder tiger Raptor heli, I was just wondering what the differences in the version 1 and the version 2 are, will all the parts interchange or what, I have seen both version for sale, and the V1 is alittle cheaper, but I was wondering what the key differences are and what the deal is with the repacement parts are,,, thanks,,

V2 fixed all the shortcommings of the first version. Tail gears, shaft, and a few other things I cant remember. I would try and hunt down a V2

I've got a V1 30, and a V2 50. If I were you, I would go with a V2. One big problem with the V1 that I find, is that the tail gear uses a set screw to hold the gear to the shaft, rather than a pin that goes threw the whole shaft. This isn't a problem if you can auto, and you are high enough to be able to auto, but if your upside down close to the ground, your pretty much scrwed.
and I know there is a problem with the head on the V1's, and you have to run your blade grips backwords... I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, as I got my V1 used, and the grips were already backwords for me.
The boom supports on the V1 arn't as good, and break easier (however, you can use V2 supports on a V1)
the spindle is bigger on a V2 I think?
and the canopy looks much better on the V2's.
I'm sure there are many other things that are different, but those are some of the problem that I have had actual experience with.
