Default which simulator is better?

I'm currently deciding between the Realflight G3 and the Reflex XTR. I want to know which one offers a more realistic flight characteristics. That's the only thing I care about. I don't care about graphics. All I care is that the simulator prepares me for the real thing and helps me avoid crashes. That's the only thing that counts.

What's your opinion?

For both planes and helis I like G3 better. For just helis I hear Reflex is better. Both are really good though compared to previous generations of sims. Make sure you have a video card that is up to the task, at least 128mb.

i can't speak for the Reflex but the G3 is VERY lacking in flight characteristics on the heli portions. i use CSM V10.16 myself and it flies exactly like a real model in both helis and planes. the only thing lacking in the CSM is the graphics and as you mentioned you don't care about those.
