When is a good time to apply the decals? Should I put one clear coat on first, then apply, and shoot the remaining clear coats AFTER??
Also, when you put the decals on, do you guys use something like windex to allow you some working time for the larger decals so they will slide around?
Doing this will force you to wait 2-3 days for the windex to completely dry.
Also, do you sand the final coat with say, 1500 before applying the clear to smooth it out some?

I got the decals on ok without the windex. A little luck and help from my wife. I would guess I can clear right away, or should I wait?
I am also wondering, do you scuff the decals a little with say, 500 grit paper so that the clear will stick to them, or should I not worry about that?

I would wipe the decals down with a bit of wax and grease remover. This is to get any finger prints off and allow the clear to shick better. If there is any wax on the decals you will get fish eyes (the clear will bead up)
