When I go to start my engine when it is cold something slips in the starting system and the nengine doesn't engage unless I "blip" the starter. when the engine is warm it doesn't do it as bad. I tightened down and re-lock-tighted the starting cup but it still does it. When I took out the engine for inspection I did notice that the clutch will move back and forth a little. I plan on spliting the frames and cutting some plastic to make the bearings tighter.
Could it be my clutch one way bearing that is sliping?

Is it possible to change the oneway bearing without changing the clutch? My clutch is about 1 gallon old and has just been broken in. Will it cause problems in the future if I do not replace the bearing? While it is annoying, it is something I can live with.
