Default THE FINAL STRAW

OK so i really app everyones help this is my last try to get this piece of junk working before i throw in the trash.

1, the heli spins counter clockwise and spins faster as the blade speed increases
2, ive to switching reverse modes on the gyro & the Tx
3, ive tried changing the gain on the gyro & the Tx
4, the small piece on the tail rortor shaft (in which the belt goes sround to turn the rotors) spins independantly to the shaft its on(there is no sign that there was ever a lug screw holding it to the shaft)
5, I tried to glue this piece to the shaft just to see what happens and it didnt make a difference
6, when stationary when i move the tail the gyro does compensate the correct way

With all this in mind does anyone have any other ideas
Thanks in advance

Mark,
Helis can be aggravating in the beginning but don't give up yet. Take a step back, relax and we will try to get you going. There is almost always a simple explaination to problems such as yours and it is only a matter of taking it step by step to discover the answer. We welcome new heli pilots to the sport and understand the frustrations associated with these machines. Check your private messages.

Sounds like you might have had the Gyro and tail working the right way around in the first place, then reversed them, then fixed the original problem (the drive gear rotating on the shaft). fix the shaft/gear problem (they should be fixed so you have no movement on from the gear to shaft.......they should move as one)then reverse th servo first (so it moves in the right direction, to move the tail/nose in the direction you want) then check the gyro, by moving the tail and seeing if it corrects in the right direction......then once all that is working, make sure you have plenty of head speed (tail speed) before applying pitch to the main rotor.
Don't give up. It can be frustrating (believe me, I know......I'm self taught and had no sim) but very rewarding when you get it right.
Cheers, Wiz.

hi mark i know what your problem is with the heli its the gear set you need to split the frame and take out that gear and pulley shaft that contols the belt for the tail rotors that pulley sits in a pin on that shaft and it strips very easily you need to epoxy that side of the pulley and grind a notch for the pin and super glue that and you should be all set theres a reason why that heli sells for so little a price because its all plastic just remember you get what you pay for, i found that out too a lot of people are having trouble with that heli

Did you look at the link I sent in your first thread? Is there a pin and a "grub" set screw holding it in? If not that IS your problem. All it takes is one missing bolt, nut, screw or pin and you'll have a very dangerous machine that could really hurt you. Fix it correctly before you try to start it again. if you do not have the patience to fix it correctly then maybe you should sell it.

If this is an electric, turn the tx on first, then the heli but don't touch anything on the TX until the gyro stabilizes. I was causing myown problems by doing it all wrong.
