I recently tried to tint the clear plastic canopy using the hotwater/die treatment that works for my model planes. Whatever kind of plastic is used the die will not take unless the water is hot enough to deform the plastic.
When I ordered a replacement canopy (dont laugh I curled it up like a pretzel) it was suggested that I use auto tint from an auto store. After trying it, the compound curves make this impossible. I can not buy a pre-tinted one so my only hope is to ask for any suggestions on tinting the plastic on this one that doesnt involve boiling water....
Any help would be appreciated.
