I tried this out a bit today and noticed the heli flies A LOT faster. Is this why I see this so much in 3D demos? I can't hold this yet, but I was coming out of a back flip while inverted and thought I'd see what it would do. It held it at a much higher pitch than it can do FFF upright.

i doubt it's the fact that you're going backwards, it's more likely that you're inverted and/or that your inverted pitch/throttle curves are set up differently from your upright curves. your downwash is cleaner when you're inverted so you get slightly better performance. i don't notice any difference on my fury between forwards or backwards inverted except that it's more sensitive to cyclic and rudder input going backwards.
