how long should a tail servo last if you dont do any hard 3d

With the correct servo in the right application and not crashed, many many years. Using the wrong servo in the wrong way and binding it or crashing it, minutes.

If your name is any indication of what you are flying, and it is still stock, then there is no definite answer. It could fail in a few flights, which is very likely, or it could last quite some time.

hi there ive upgraded since i signed up i have got a raptor50v2 now with the 401 and futaba 9253 servo
the tail started to wag and let go when you put in picth someone told me the servo could be worn its only 2yrs old and never been crashed

Sorry about the presumtion then. Check all the linkages for the tail servo, belt tension, belt condition, pulley condition, make sure it is all like it should be, nothing loose or worn in the tail drive assembly, and if all that is good, open the servo and see if there are any stripped or worn gears in it. If they are, do a search to see if you can just get the gearset for the servo.
