Any way to verify how real that stunt was? Some views looked a little suspicious. Either way, it was very entertaining. But if the video was manipulated, I won't bother trying to launch my younger brother.

EDIT - My brother want be joining Aqua-NASA, it was faked. Watched it frame by frame, the guy moved before the rockets.

I noticed that as well, but if you didn't jump then it would probably just make a huge mess and the guy wouldn't go anywhere, whears if you already have some forward momentum, then the rockets just aid this. I don't think it was faked.

The movement isn't him jumping, it looks like his shirt is being yanked up.

I particularly laughed at the spread eagle, face down landing. It made me think of a flying squirrel.

Let me translate(Im half Japanese half Vietnamese) in the first segment, the guy is advertising some soda company. right after that he says the guy doesnt know how to swim. He then explains how the contraption works and says that it should propel the guy out to the ballon. Before he starts the countdown, he pulls the old "kids dont try this at home" while the guy is flying in the air...you can hear him saying "holy ****! that guy is gunna end up with a cast between his legs"

At that launch angle, with the weight of his body all below the thrust vector, and supposing that he actually has enough thrust to lift that mass off the ground in the right circumstances, than the best he could probably do is a forward flip and hit his head on the dock wall.

That, and the fact that, like other pointed out, he leaves the ground before the rocket are "fired".
